Old Friend

By the pond’s edge
an acorn falls
rippling my reflection
but we are meeting
for the first time
I say aloud
who was that stranger
I say to nobody
my reflection returns
with something more
than I had before
an awareness of impermanence
awe of greater force
in a little acorn
that can make me
disappear and appear again.

For Reena’s Xploration!!!

It is looking at a mirror with endless possibilities. These lines itself can become a writing prompt.

    Thanks for the effort1

    1. Thank you Reena, your comments are a bit of sun, or maybe moonlight, as the moon is lighting up my office just now.
