Picturesque

Setting there quite picturesque, yes setting
she says what’re you looking at
I say to myself
just who am I looking at?
I’m not a cupcake she adds
no, you’re a work of art I reply
again, only to myself
instead I ask if she knows
where’s the flower garden
she points behind her
still looking at me
I start walking by
don’t forget she says
I pause, ask – forget?
to ask me along,
what’s life without art?
