Ghostly

Ghostly
Spirits and shadows
Remembering who they were
Driving through fields
To the dance
On Saturday night
After working all week
You sure are pretty
Did I hear him say to the
Pretty lady sitting next to him
Keeping her dress
From riding up
Holding tight
Over bumps and ruts
Did I hear her reply back
You’re just saying that
He grins, puts his right hand
Upon her knee
Did I see them
Look over to me
Taking a photo
Of their old truck
Did she say to him and
Him back to her
What was that flash?

For Eugie’s Weekly Word! This pick-up truck was something back in ’60.
